The NCAA Loyola's claim they have god on their side. Jean Dolores Schmidt has attended every game that the Loyola's play in. She even sends them emails about their upcoming opponent. "I'm told them that we were going to win, that we could do it and God would be on our side” says Sister Jean.
Jean is a chaplain for the Loyola’s and a religious sister of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is 98 years old and was born in 1919.
Sister Jean helps the Loyola's in every game with a prayer and offers them constructive criticism after the game via email. “Don’t let the Tennessee team members scare you by their height. Height doesn’t mean that much because you’re all good jumpers and good rebounders. You’re good at everything, and just keep that in mind” explains Sister Jean.
